Children's Alliance of Kansas is the only association representing private, non-profit child welfare agencies. The association was established in 1954 to help agencies better serve the children of Kansas and their families. The Children's Alliance of Kansas plays a pivotal role in facilitating the communication and coordination needed to have an effective continuum of coverage for the children and families of Kansas. The Children’s Alliance now works with more than 20 member agencies to coordinate activities and programming. Member agencies serve children and families throughout the state of Kansas. With major changes in the delivery of child welfare services in recent years, it is more important than ever that agencies who provide services to Kansas children and families, have the ability to communicate with each other to coordinate an effective continuum of coverage. The Children’s Alliance of Kansas plays a pivotal role in facilitating that communication and coordination. We are in the process of exploring other ways in which the Children’s Alliance can help strengthen the delivery of child welfare services.
