Participants
This training is conducted for teams from each agency. A team consisting of one agency staff and one adoptive/foster parent who will then conduct preparation groups for potential resource parents in their area.
SRS will not require the MAPP Leaders to be BSRB licensed professionals, bit it is expected that the MAPP Leaders will have experience in the child welfare system so they can provide the participants with the information they will need to make an informed decision about pursuing foster parenting and/or adopting (July 10, 2003 CFP Clarification meeting minutes).
Behavioral Objectives
1. To provide knowledge and skills necessary to conduct parent Partnering for Safety and Permanence, a part of the Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting Program.
2. To enhance the training skills of each participant.
